Pallas and RPC Add International Arbitration Partners in London

RPC and recently-launched Pallas Partners have strengthened their international arbitration practices with a partner hire each.

Shai Wade has joined RPC from Stephenson Harwood to become the firm’s head of international arbitration. Wade leaves Stephenson Harwood after over nine years as a partner at the firm, where he was head of its upstream oil and gas disputes group.

Wade becomes RPC’s third commercial partner hire since the start of the year.

Meanwhile, Pallas Partners, launched by Natasha Harrison earlier this year, has hired Debevoise & Plimpton senior associate Nelson Goh as a partner in its international disputes resolution group.

Goh previously worked on a number of significant representations, including the Apple v Qualcomm patent dispute.

Harrison created Pallas in January this year, and moved across 14 lawyers, 13 support staff and “around 100 clients and cases” from the London office of Boies Schiller Flexner. Set up as an alternative business structure, Pallas is intended to be a top-end, conflict-free litigation practice in London.

The hires are the latest in a busy month for London moves. In recent weeks, Taylor Wessing added two partners in the U.K. capital, adding lawyers from Linklaters and McDermott Will & Emery.

In addition, White & Case hired finance partner Monica Barton from Winston & Strawn, whilst Osborne Clarke hired BDB Pitmans’ entire pensions team, including partners David Hosford and Chris Netiatis.
